Jesus in India - A Paul Davids Film

All who try to find in the New Testament the story of what happened in Jesus’ life between the ages of 12 and 30 are inevitably sorely disappointed. Those years are not covered.

Two prominent Catholic scholars at Georgetown University confirm this in “JESUS IN INDIA” Catholics call that period of Jesus’ life “The “Missing Years” or “The Hidden Years”.

Without resolving questions that probably can never be resolved, this film attempts to sort legend from myth from evidence and finds that the trail of inquiry leads to Srinagar in war-torn Kashmir, where there is a tomb thought by some scholars to be the final resting place of the historical Jesus Christ. This idea is rejected by other scholars, including Muslims local to the area of the tomb who claim that this would be contrary to Islam, which asserts that Jesus did not die on the cross but was “lifted to the heavens.” There is also a grave of “Mother Mary” about one hundred miles away from Srinagar in Pakistan, in the town of Murree, a mis-spelling of the name of the mother of Jesus. Did Mary accompany Jesus on a trip back to India and die en route?

The Tomb in Kashmir

The sign post at the tomb states plainly:

“Nearby is situated the stone of the grave which, according to the people, is the prophet's who arrived from a far off place during ancient times. Anointed for Kashmir: This spot is famous as the resting place of a messenger: I have read in an ancient book that a prince from a foreign land arrived here and engaged himself in piety and prayers [and] became a messenger of God for the Kashmiri people. In that ancient book his name is mentioned as Yuz Asaf.” [more]

Could this be the tomb of Jesus?

Why were these feet carvings made and placed next to the tomb in Kashmir?

"The position of the scars, just behind the toes, do not match each other, but they would align if a single nail was driven through both of the feet with the left foot placed on top of the right."
