Suzanne Olsson
Sue Olsson is a name known to many in the recent work on the Roza Bol tomb. Sue is finalising her book on the subject and in this book she examines not only the tomb of Jesus in Kashmir, but also tombs of mother Mary, Moses, Noah and other Biblical figures.
She has spent much time, effort and money attempting to open up the tomb for scientific research, but her attempts were not successful despite getting very close to this goal.
Website
Sue has her own website at www.jesus-kashmir-tomb.com which includes hand drawn maps as well as many images and photographs from the sites related to her research.
Desecration of the Tomb?
Large portions of Sue's previous version of her book have been dedicated to the tomb and in particular she highlights the apparent desecration of the tomb and theartifacts contained being sold. This sense of injustice is a dominating factor in her analysis. Sue has also spent much effort on expounding a possible Israelite link with the Gautama Buddha and possible Israelite origin of Buddhism itself.
The changes made to the structure outside the tomb are clearly shown on Sue's website. The BBC4 docuemtnary showed clearly that the stucture around the tomb is now glass, where as early shots had a very intricate wooden strucutre. Sue explains in detail the way the tomb and its relics have been abused and sold to the highest bidder.
The extent of the desecration to the tomb is hard to know fully. There was speculation that the famous carved footprints had been removed from the tomb also, but reports from recent visitors [December 2006] have thankfully revealed they are still in place.
